Hi, I’m Zong Tong—born in 2004, from Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. I’m currently studying Illustration Animation at Kingston University in the UK.
My creative focus lies in the emotional and narrative potential of imagery, especially through handmade puppets, illustrated stories, and stop-motion animation. Growing up in a traditional Chinese family, I’ve developed a deep sensitivity to the unspoken tensions between love and restraint, which often shapes the emotional core of my work.
I’ve taken part in a range of cross-disciplinary projects, such as designing emotion-based visual tools for children with special needs in a “Forest School” program, collaborating with media teams on character and IP-related designs, and independently developing narrative works that explore puppetry as a tool for emotional healing and reflection.
I believe visual storytelling can offer a quiet but powerful form of communication—one that evokes memory, creates empathy, and gently heals.
